Fifteen guests, one villa — and a day I was completely wrong about.
The 15-guest wedding
When I heard that Kat and Vadym’s wedding day was planned for 15 people — the two of them included — I honestly wondered why they would need my full wedding-photographer service, and then some. I walked to my car thinking, “well, this is going to be one boring day…”. The second I stepped into Kat’s room for the first getting-ready frames, I understood just how wrong I had been.
Time shelter
That is what I would name their photo session if I had to give it a name. From the vintage car and the winding roads, through the emblematic Euxinograd residence, to the incredible Villa Burov — perched on the edge of a cliff, looking straight out to sea. I am sharing only a part of the frames here, and to this day I am amazed at how absolutely every photograph of these two turned out wonderful! I hope you enjoy them too.
A ceremony in the spirit of “Gatsby”
The ceremony took place in the villa’s lush garden at sunset, bathed in golden light. Kat and Vadym exchanged vows under a beautiful floral arch, and the small circle of their closest people created an atmosphere of warmth and true emotion. When the two sealed their vows with a kiss, there was not a dry eye around — the beginning of their new chapter, in a setting straight out of the roaring twenties.
And the venue? Nestled in the heart of Varna, Villa Burov radiates the splendour and glamour of a bygone era. The elegant chandeliers, the antique furniture and the lush gardens were the perfect backdrop for a Gatsby-style celebration — a timeless charm that filled the day with romance and nostalgia.
