How much does a wedding photographer in Bulgaria cost?
My wedding packages cost between €1300 and €3100. What your photographer will cost you depends above all on five things: hours of coverage, the editing, a second photographer, video, and physical products such as a photo album. Here is how to read any offer — including mine. And if you are planning a wedding in Bulgaria from abroad, there is a section further down written just for you.
What determines the price
- Hours of coverage. Full-day coverage (with me — 9 hours, from the preparations to the dancing) costs more than a few hours around the ceremony. This is the biggest variable in any offer.
- The editing. The shooting is the visible part. After the wedding come the selection and editing of hundreds of frames — with me, a minimum of 600 final images, each one reviewed. That takes weeks, not days.
- A second photographer. A second point of view — the other partner's preparations, the guests' reactions, frames one person physically cannot catch. With me it is a €400 add-on.
- Video. A cinematic film, a trailer and drone footage require a separate person and separate post-production — which is why "photography + video" packages sit in the highest price tier.
- Physical products. Photo albums, prints — premium materials have their own cost.

Why professional wedding photography costs what it does
The nine hours of shooting are only the beginning. Behind every wedding stand the conversations and planning before the day, the weeks of selection and editing after it, the professional equipment — and the backup equipment, because a wedding has no "second take". You are paying not for one day, but for the whole process, and for the certainty that this day will be preserved the way it deserves.
That is also why the cheapest offer often turns out to be the most expensive one: a wedding cannot be repeated. Choose someone whose style and experience you trust — whether that is me or not.
Getting married in Bulgaria from abroad?
More and more couples choose Bulgaria for a destination wedding — and honestly, they are onto something. The Black Sea coast offers sea-view venues, golf resorts and heritage villas at prices well below Western Europe, with reliable summer weather from May to September. 5 questions to ask any photographer
- What exactly does the package include? Hours, number of edited images, delivery time — in black and white.
- Who will actually photograph the wedding? With multi-photographer studios — ask to see the portfolio of the specific person.
- What happens in case of illness or force majeure? A serious professional has a plan B and backup equipment.
- When and how do we receive the photos? A realistic timeline for a full gallery is weeks (with me, 6–8), not days.
- Is there a contract? A contract protects both sides — date, scope, price, rights to the images.
When to book
The most sought-after dates — Saturdays from May to September — are often reserved a year or more in advance. The earlier you write, the better the chance your date is free, and the more calmly you get to choose, rather than settle.
